Questions
When is the best time to lay turf?
Autumn and spring are ideal on the Wirral — the soil is warm and rainfall is reliable. We can lay turf any time conditions allow, but avoid midsummer heat or hard frosts.
How long before I can use a new lawn?
Typically 3–4 weeks for the turf to root properly. We will advise on watering during that period — critical in the first two weeks.
My lawn is more moss than grass — can it be saved?
Usually yes. Scarifying removes the moss and thatch, overseeding fills the gaps, and a feed gets things growing. Results are visible within 4–6 weeks.
Do you supply the turf?
Yes — we source quality turf from local suppliers and include it in the price. You do not need to organise anything.
